Job summary

Australian Vietnamese Women's Association Inc. is seeking dedicated staff to provide aged and disability support services across Victoria. The role focuses on delivering person-centred care, maintaining records, and contributing to quality improvements with a respectful, privacy-conscious approach.

You'll support daily living tasks, promote independence, and follow care plans while completing mandatory training. A team-oriented environment with ongoing training and performance reviews awaits.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Aged Care or Certificate IV in Disability.
• Current Level 2 First Aid and CPR certificates.
• Experience supporting older people or people with reduced functional ability.
• Understanding of reablement, enablement and participant-directed care.

Responsibilities

• Support personal care, daily living, domestic tasks, transport, community access and respite.
• Promote independence and wellbeing through a reablement approach.
• Follow participant Support Plans and allocated hours.
• Maintain accurate service records in Maicare and compliance records in Elmo.
• Complete mandatory training, certifications and SQMS modules.
• Report changes in participant conditions, incidents and risks.
• Contribute to quality improvement and feedback processes.
• Attend required training, team meetings and performance reviews.
• Respect participant dignity, privacy, cultural identity and confidentiality.
• Maintain professional boundaries and follow AVWA policies.
• Monitor participant wellbeing and report hazards.
• Deliver safe, person-centred care within training scope.
• Perform other duties as required by management.
