Job summary

CV Services is seeking a Bids and Proposals Engineer to join our Brisbane engineering team. You will work with Project Managers, Engineers and Design Managers to prepare accurate, commercially competitive tender submissions for HV, LV and renewable energy infrastructure projects.

Based in Brisbane, you will review tender docs, develop cost estimates, obtain supplier quotes, identify risks and coordinate submissions from receipt to handover, delivering compliant proposals across private HV/LV,

Qualifications

• Electrical engineering qualification or related discipline.
• Experience in estimating and tender preparation.
• Ability to interpret electrical drawings and scopes.
• Strong commercial acumen and cost estimation experience.
• Proficiency with Excel and Word; strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Review tender documentation, drawings, specifications and client requirements.
• Develop detailed cost estimates, pricing schedules and commercial submissions.
• Obtain and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations.

Your New Role

CV Services is seeking an experienced Design Engineer to work as a part of our Bids and Tenders team to join our Engineering team in Brisbane. Working closely with Project Managers, Engineers, Design Managers and key stakeholders, you will play a critical role in securing future work by preparing accurate, commercially competitive and technically compliant tender submissions.

This position offers exposure to a diverse portfolio of work, including:

• Private high voltage (HV) infrastructure projects
• Private low voltage (LV) electrical projects
• Energex Large Customer Connection projects
• Energex customer connection projects
• Substations, kiosks and associated civil infrastructure
• Underground and overhead reticulation networks
• Streetlighting, renewable energy and battery energy storage (BESS) projects
• Utility relocation and network augmentation works

Your responsibilities will include:

• Reviewing tender documentation, drawings, specifications and client requirements
• Developing detailed cost estimates, pricing schedules and commercial submissions
• Obtaining and evaluating supplier and subcontractor quotations
• Identifying project risks, opportunities, assumptions and exclusions
• Preparing tender methodologies, programs and supporting documentation

What You'll Need To Succeed

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

• A qualification in Electrical Engineering, a related discipline, or a relevant electrical trade background
• Experience in estimating, tender preparation, project delivery or project controls
• The ability to interpret electrical drawings, specifications and scopes of work
• Strong commercial acumen and experience preparing detailed cost estimates
• High-level proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Highly regarded experience includes:

• Queensland utility or electrical infrastructure projects
• Energex Large Customer Connection projects
• HV and LV infrastructure estimating
• Substations, contestable works, renewable energy or BESS projects
• Bluebeam Revu, Microsoft Project and estimating software platforms
