Job summary

CV Services Group in Brisbane is seeking an experienced Engineering Estimator to join our Engineering team. You will work with Project Managers, Engineers and other stakeholders to prepare accurate, commercially competitive tender submissions.

You'll review tenders for private HV/LV, substations, renewables, and BESS projects, developing cost estimates and tender methodologies while coordinating submissions end-to-end.

Qualifications

• Qualification in Electrical Engineering or related discipline, or a relevant electrical trade background.
• Experience in estimating, tender preparation, project delivery or project controls.
• Ability to interpret electrical drawings, specifications and scopes of work.
• Strong commercial acumen and experience preparing detailed cost estimates.

Responsibilities

• Review tender documentation, drawings, specifications and client requirements.
• Develop detailed cost estimates, pricing schedules and commercial submissions.
• Obtain and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations.
• Identify project risks, opportunities, assumptions and exclusions.
• Prepare tender methodologies, programs and supporting documentation.
• Coordinate tender submissions from initial receipt through to handover.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure competitive proposals.

Your New Role

CV Services is seeking an experienced Engineering Estimator to join our Engineering team in Brisbane. Working closely with Project Managers, Engineers, Design Managers and key stakeholders, you will play a critical role in securing future work by preparing accurate, commercially competitive and technically compliant tender submissions.

• Private high voltage (HV) infrastructure projects
• Private low voltage (LV) electrical projects
• Energex Large Customer Connection projects
• Energex customer connection projects
• Substations, kiosks and associated civil infrastructure
• Underground and overhead reticulation networks
• Streetlighting, renewable energy and battery energy storage (BESS) projects
• Utility relocation and network augmentation works

Your responsibilities will include:

• Reviewing tender documentation, drawings, specifications and client requirements
• Developing detailed cost estimates, pricing schedules and commercial submissions
• Obtaining and evaluating supplier and subcontractor quotations

What You'll Need to Succeed

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

• A qualification in Electrical Engineering, a related discipline, or a relevant electrical trade background
• Experience in estimating, tender preparation, project delivery or project controls
• The ability to interpret electrical drawings, specifications and scopes of work
• Strong commercial acumen and experience preparing detailed cost estimates
• High-level proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
