Job summary

Downer in Australia is seeking a Submissions Manager to lead the writing and production of compliant bid submissions across power, water, energy and industrial sectors. You will work with bid managers and SMEs to craft compelling responses for Expressions of Interest and tenders in Australia and New Zealand.

This role requires strong content writing, strategic thinking, and ability to coordinate input from multiple contributors, with a focus on high-quality, timely submissions and winning

Qualifications

• Significant experience writing long-form bids and proposals; strong content development skills.
• Experience crafting multi-million dollar tenders; construction sector experience preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with high attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Lead the writing and production of compliant, compelling bid submissions, presentations and related content aligned to bid strategies.
• Interviews with SMEs to develop attributes for submissions and guide the approach.
• Contribute to win strategy development and evidence-backed responses.
• Prepare bid writing plans and manage non-priced attribute review processes.
• Compile documentation including schedules and commercial responses for submissions.
• Collaborate with graphic designers to enhance submission visuals.
• Guide bid team contributors and coordinators to drive bidding best-practice.
