Job summary

Archer Daniels Midland Company in Heidelberg is seeking a Lab Technician Beverage with a focus on Product Development Beverage (m/f/d) to support development and production of innovative concepts for national and international customers.

You will conduct laboratory blending, carry out analytical tests, evaluate sensory and physical properties, and ensure compliance with hygiene and food safety guidelines while coordinating with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in food or beverage technology or similar field.
• Experience in product development in the food industry is desirable.
• Strong interest in nutrition and food trends and ability to adapt in a dynamic setting.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities; able to work cross-functionally.

Responsibilities

• Support development and production of innovative beverage concepts for national and international customers.
• Involve in development briefings from idea to production.
• Carry out laboratory blending within time, cost and quality constraints.
• Provide finished products and samples; perform sensory and physical evaluation.
• Conduct analytical tests, interpret results, and adjust formulations considering cost and quality.
• Check ingredients and adjust formulations while observing cost/quality factors.
• Advise on processing customer complaints and maintain master, application and development data in IT systems.
• Ensure compliance with hygiene, food safety and environmental guidelines and ISO processes.
