Job summary

Everyday Independence is seeking experienced Behaviour Support Practitioners to provide life-changing therapy to NDIS participants. Work across homes, schools, playgrounds, workplaces, and community centres with strong supervision and PD support.

You will collaborate in interdisciplinary teams, develop behaviour support plans, and conduct functional assessments, while leveraging a robust learning and mentoring environment across over 40 hubs nationwide.

Qualifications

• Be deemed as a Behaviour Support Practitioner by the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission (evidence of letter required)
• Minimum 12 months experience as a Behaviour Support Practitioner
• A positive and flexible approach to work
• Strong communication skills and be a team player
• Commitment to personal and professional growth
• A valid Australian drivers license
• NDIS Workers Screening Check
• Working with Children Check

Responsibilities

• Working in the social model means you’ll work in diverse settings; from homes and schools to playgrounds, workplaces, and community centres
• Utilizing assessment and intervention skills to support participants in achieving their goals and maximizing NDIS funding
• Building meaningful relationships with the participants and their supports (family, carers, friends)
• Developing and implementing Behaviour Support Plans with function-based strategies, utilising positive behaviour support framework
• Conducting Functional Behaviour Assessments (FBA)
• Collaborating within interdisciplinary teams to address complex behavioural challenges
• Attend weekly team meetings in the Hub; sharing stories of impact, coffee and laughs
• You’ll tap into the knowledge and support of your Team Leader and dedicated Therapy Mentor

AHPRA registration (OT)

SPA registration (Speech Path)

AASW membership
