Job summary

ASR Recruitment is partnering with an established disability and allied health provider across Newcastle and the Hunter. They are seeking experienced Behaviour Support Practitioners to join on a full-time, permanent basis, with part-time, flexible and hybrid working arrangements.

You will work with children and adults with complex needs across SIL homes, family homes, schools and community settings, performing functional assessments, developing and reviewing behaviour support plans, and

Qualifications

• Registration as a Behaviour Support Practitioner with the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission.
• At least 12 months of experience in the NDIS sector.
• Experience with functional behaviour assessments and restrictive practices.
• Ability to work across varied environments and with diverse stakeholders.
• Strong communication and confidentiality awareness.

Responsibilities

• Completing functional behaviour assessments and evidence-based behavioural assessments
• Developing interim and comprehensive behaviour support plans
• Identifying, documenting and reporting restrictive practices
• Meeting NDIS Commission reporting obligations
• Delivering training and coaching to support workers, families and schools
• Reviewing and adjusting plans based on data and participant progress
• Liaising with coordinators, guardians and clinicians
• Managing and prioritising a mixed caseload
• Tracking and measuring clinical outcomes
• Working within the NDIS Practice Standards
