Job summary

Newcastle Anglican is seeking a Senior Behaviour Support Practitioner in Newcastle, NSW, to deliver evidence-based assessments, interventions and develop behaviour support plans for children and adults in the NDIS framework.

You will work within a multidisciplinary team, prioritising person-centred practice, trauma-informed care and inclusion, with flexible/hybrid working options and strong support for professional growth.

Qualifications

• Degree in Social Work, Social Welfare, Psychology, Behavioural Science or related field.
• Minimum 1 year experience in the NDIS sector with current Behaviour Support Practitioner registration (Proficient+).
• Experience with NDIS participants, positive behaviour support, trauma-informed and person-centred practice.
• Ability to manage complex workloads in a multi-disciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Provide evidence-based behavioural assessments and interventions.
• Develop behaviour support plans to promote inclusion.
• Work with individuals, families and support networks to build capacity.
• Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team and ensure confidentiality.
