Zusammenfassung

Soultys is a vibrant beachside hospitality venue located opposite Manly Beach, offering a permanent full‑time Chef role. You will manage a kitchen section, plan menus, and prepare high‑quality dishes while leading a small team through busy service periods.

The role requires AQF Diploma or higher in Commercial Cookery or related field and at least one year of experience in a commercial kitchen. Competitive salary and supportive team environment available.

Qualifikationen

• AQF Diploma or higher in Commercial Cookery, Hospitality, Kitchen Management or closely related culinary field.
• At least 1 year of full‑time experience as a Chef in a commercial kitchen or equivalent.
• Strong technical knowledge of commercial cooking methods, food preparation techniques and kitchen operations.
• Experience in menu planning, food preparation, cooking and presentation of quality dishes.
• Sound understanding of food safety regulations, hygiene standards and safe food handling practices.

Aufgaben

• Plan and contribute to the development of menus and seasonal dishes, considering customer preferences and ingredient availability.
• Prepare, cook and present a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menu standards.
• Coordinate kitchen activities to ensure consistency, quality and timely meal service.
• Supervise and train junior kitchen staff, guiding cooking techniques and kitchen procedures.
• Monitor stock, estimate requirements and assist with ordering to minimise wastage and manage costs.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene and health and safety regulations.
