Job summary

Intrepid Travel is seeking two Commis Chefs to join the Edge of the Bay team, on the Freycinet coast. These full-time, permanent roles offer up to AUD 79,385 plus super and a range of benefits as we ramp up into peak season.

You will work weekends, evenings and public holidays as needed, with responsibilities across food preparation, cooking techniques and maintaining high safety standards. The Head Chef will mentor and develop your skills in a collaborative kitchen.

Qualifications

• Experience within a food offering operation.
• Experience and knowledge in different cooking techniques, styles and procedures.
• Good time management and organisational skills, with the ability to work well under pressure.
• Ability to cater for dietaries without compromising on enjoyment.
• Ability to work as a team and to assist in all operations of the kitchen.
• A natural communicator who finds it easy to chat to guests.
• Passionate about great food, great teamwork and a great attitude.

Responsibilities

• Play an instrumental part in the operation of our kitchen and have opportunities to showcase and develop your skills, led by the Head Chef.
