Job summary

Eriez Australia in Melbourne seeks a commercially driven Business Development Manager for Food, Packaging and Plastics industries. You will grow our Light Industry business by connecting with food manufacturers, processors, packers and packaging companies, developing solutions and building long-term relationships.

You will identify and develop resellers, distributors, and channel partners; expand regional coverage and uncover opportunities across processing and packaging markets, combining

Qualifications

• Proven sales, business development or account management experience within food processing, food & beverage packaging, automation or equipment.
• Experience selling packaging machinery, processing equipment, automation, or related industrial equipment.
• An established network and relationships within food, beverage, packaging or processing markets.
• The ability to understand a customer's production process, identify problems and uncover equipment opportunities.
• A proven ability to develop new business while managing and growing existing accounts.
• The commercial capability to identify and develop resellers, distributors and new sales channels.

Responsibilities

• Develop new business across food and beverage processing, packaging, and plastics industries.
• Identify opportunities within customer operations and convert them into equipment sales.
• Build a strong pipeline while developing and growing key customer accounts.
• Develop relationships with food manufacturers, processors, packers and other end users.
• Identify, appoint and grow resellers, distributors and channel partners.
• Grow regional market coverage and identify new applications for the broader Eriez product portfolio.
