Job summary

SSE’s Battery Contracts Analyst role sits within Energy Markets, focusing on BESS contracts across a growing portfolio of assets. You’ll help implement, execute and monitor contractual obligations, working with colleagues and partners to ensure safe, responsible and efficient contract management.

The position requires a degree or relevant energy/analytical experience, with strong numerical skills and proficiency in Excel; Power BI experience is advantageous.

Qualifications

• A degree and/or relevant energy/analytical experience.
• Understanding of energy markets and regulatory environment.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills.
• Proficiency in Excel; Power BI or similar BI tools helps.
• Good communication and relationship-building, able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Become subject matter expert for BESS contracts.
• Mobilise new BESS assets; maintain trackers and logs.
• Prepare and validate customer reporting and payments.
• Build relationships with customers and internal teams.
• Support commercial and operational analysis and identify improvements.
