Sora Rooftop Bar, a premier rooftop venue in Sydney CBD, seeks a Bar Supervisor to lead daily operations, mentor the bar team and ensure premium guest experiences.

You will oversee service standards, cocktail presentation and stock management, while working with management to drive profitability and guest satisfaction.

As a Bar Supervisor, you will play a key role in overseeing daily bar operations, leading the bar team and ensuring exceptional service standards across the venue. Working closely with the Venue Manager and senior management, you will be responsible for maintaining operational efficiency, driving beverage sales and ensuring a premium guest experience.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily bar operations and ensure smooth, efficient service.
• Lead, motivate and support bartenders and bar staff during service.
• Maintain exceptional standards of cocktail preparation, beverage presentation and customer service.
• Oversee opening and closing procedures, including cash reconciliation and end-of-shift reporting.
• Monitor beverage stock levels, assist with ordering and minimise wastage.
• Ensure compliance with NSW Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) requirements and venue policies.
• Assist with staff training, performance management and maintaining service standards.
• Handle guest enquiries, complaints and operational issues professionally.
• Support the execution of private functions, corporate events and special activations.
• Work closely with management to improve operational efficiency, beverage profitability and overall venue performance.

About you

• Previous experience as a Bar Supervisor, Senior Bartender or similar position in a premium hospitality venue.
• Strong cocktail knowledge, including classic and contemporary cocktails.
• Excellent leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working in fast-paced cocktail bars, restaurants or nightlife venues.
• Strong understanding of beverage stock control, ordering and cost management.
• Confidence supervising staff and maintaining high service standards.
• A current NSW RSA competency card.
• Availability to work evenings, weekends and public holidays.
• A professional presentation, positive attitude and genuine passion for hospitality.
