Job summary

Rooftop on Central in Gregory Hills, NSW is seeking experienced bartenders for full-time, part-time and casual roles in a busy restaurant and bar.

You will deliver fast, friendly service across regular dining, functions and events, making cocktails, pouring spirits, handling POS, and maintaining bar stock while upholding safety and RSA requirements.

Qualifications

Rooftop on Central is looking for experienced Bartenders to join our growing team at our busy restaurant and bar in Gregory Hills.

We have Full-Time, Part-Time and Casual positions available.

We are looking for confident, reliable and experienced bartenders who can work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high standard of service. Previous bartending experience, cocktail knowledge and a current RSA are essential for this role.

About the Role

As part of our bar team, you will be responsible for delivering fast, friendly and professional service across regular restaurant trade, busy weekend nights, functions and events.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing and serving cocktails, spirits, wine, beer and other beverages
• Confidently making classic and house cocktails to a high standard
• Providing fast and efficient service during high-volume periods
• Maintaining strong knowledge of spirits, wines, beers and cocktail ingredients
• Following correct measurements, recipes and presentation standards
• Setting up and closing down the bar
• Maintaining a clean, organised and fully stocked workstation
• Restocking fridges, glassware, garnishes and bar supplies throughout service
• Processing orders and payments accurately through the POS system
• Monitoring responsible service of alcohol and complying with NSW RSA requirements
• Checking identification where required
• Communicating effectively with floor staff, management and other bartenders
• Assisting with stock rotation and stocktake when required
• Maintaining venue presentation, hygiene and safety standards

What We're Looking For

To be considered, you must have:

• Previous bartending experience – experience is essential
• Current NSW RSA
• Strong cocktail knowledge and cocktail-making experience
• Ability to confidently work behind a busy bar without constant supervision
• Strong knowledge of spirits and standard drink preparation
• Ability to work quickly and accurately under pressure
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and presentation
• A positive, professional and team-focused attitude
• Reliability and punctuality
• Ability to multitask during high-volume service
• Availability to work evenings and weekends

Experience working in a busy restaurant, cocktail bar, nightclub or high-volume hospitality venue will be highly regarded.
