Job summary

Sora Rooftop Bar in Sydney is seeking a Bar Supervisor to oversee daily bar operations, lead the bar team and drive exceptional service standards across the venue. You will work closely with the Venue Manager and senior management to maintain efficiency, maximise beverage sales and deliver a premium guest experience.

The role requires strong cocktail knowledge, proven leadership in fast-paced venues, RSA compliance and a passion for hospitality.

Qualifications

• Experience as Bar Supervisor or similar in premium venues.
• Strong cocktail knowledge including classic and contemporary drinks.
• Excellent leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in fast-paced cocktail bars, dining or nightlife venues.
• Understanding of beverage stock control, ordering and cost management.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily bar operations and ensure smooth, efficient service.
• Lead, motivate and support bartenders and bar staff during service.
• Maintain high standards of cocktail preparation, beverage presentation and customer service.
• Oversee opening and closing procedures, including cash reconciliation and end-of-shift reporting.

• Handle guest enquiries, complaints and operational issues professionally.
• Support the execution of private functions, corporate events and activations.
• Collaborate with management to improve efficiency, beverage profitability and overall venue performance.

• Work closely with management to improve operational efficiency, beverage profitability and overall venue performance.

About you

• Previous experience as a Bar Supervisor, Senior Bartender or similar position in a premium hospitality venue.
• Strong cocktail knowledge, including classic and contemporary cocktails.
• Excellent leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working in fast-paced cocktail bars, restaurants or nightlife venues.
• Strong understanding of beverage stock control, ordering and cost management.
• Confidence supervising staff and maintaining high service standards.
• A current NSW RSA competency card.
• Availability to work evenings, weekends and public holidays.
• A professional presentation, positive attitude and genuine passion for hospitality.
