Job summary

AC by Marriott Gold Coast is seeking a Bartender to join the pre-opening team, crafting cocktails and guest experiences across our new Food & Beverage outlets, including Rivo Restaurant. As part of the pre-opening, you will help shape beverage standards, service rituals and bar culture from day one, bringing creativity and hospitality to the guest journey.

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of bartending experience, RSA and Food Safety Certification, and the flexibility to work evenings,

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of relevant bartending or beverage experience.
• Strong cocktail-making and beverage knowledge.
• Excellent guest engagement and communication skills.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and public holidays.
• RSA and Food Safety Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve cocktails, spirits, wine, beer and non-alcoholic beverages to a high standard.
• Deliver beverage experiences across F&B outlets including Rivo Restaurant.
• Use product knowledge to tailor drinks and guest experiences.
• Stay up to date with beverage trends and techniques.
• Maintain stocked bar areas and manage payments when required.

More than simply preparing drinks, you'll be a host of the space - engaging with guests, sharing your knowledge and helping create an atmosphere that feels polished, relaxed and distinctly AC.

As part of our pre-opening team, you'll also have the opportunity to help shape our beverage standards, service rituals and bar culture from day one.

What You'll Do

• Prepare and serve cocktails, spirits, wine, beer and non-alcoholic beverages to a consistently high standard.
• Deliver beverage experiences across Rivo Restaurant and other hotel Food & Beverage outlets as required.
• Use your product knowledge to recommend drinks and create personalised guest experiences.
• Stay up to date with beverage trends, local products and cocktail techniques.
• Contribute ideas for seasonal cocktails, signature serves and beverage activations.
• Maintain beautifully presented, organised and fully stocked bar areas.
• Ensure accurate handling of payments, transactions and cash where required.
• Monitor stock levels and support beverage inventory and replenishment.
• Anticipate guest needs and take ownership of the overall experience.
• Follow all workplace health and safety, liquor licensing, responsible service and Marriott International procedures.

• At least 1 year of relevant bartending or beverage experience.
• Strong cocktail-making and beverage knowledge.
• A genuine interest in current trends and creative beverage concepts.
• Excellent guest engagement and communication skills.
• Confidence recommending beverages and tailoring the experience to guests....
• Strong attention to detail, presentation and consistency.
• A proactive and energetic approach to service.
• The ability to work confidently across multiple Food & Beverage environments.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and public holidays.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience: At least 1 year of relevant bartending, mixology or beverage experience preferred.
Certifications: Current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) and Food Safety Certificate.
