Job summary

Elements of Byron is seeking motivated bartenders to join our beachfront resort. You will converse with guests, explain cocktail and beverage options, assist with dietary requirements, and up-sell where possible.

Maintain stock, keep the bar clean, and process orders. Occasional food running in winter. NSW RSA and Food Handler certificates, plus a valid driver's license, are required; flexible rosters and a strong team mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• Australian permanent resident preferred.
• WHV welcome but require minimum 6 months commitment.
• Previous experience working in a fast paced Bar/Restaurant or Conferencing & Event Space as a Bartender.
• Previous Hotel, Resort or Pool bar experience would be highly regarded.
• Current NSW RSA and drivers licence.
• Current NSW Food Handler Basics Training Certificate or happy to complete.
• High standard of grooming, presentation and communication.
• The ability and flexibility to work various rostered shifts, including mornings, late evenings and weekends.

A little bit about us: Located on fifty acres of absolute beachfront, Elements of Byron is an award-winning resort known for its laid-back luxury and exceptional guest experiences. Our resort features beautifully designed one and two-bedroom villas, diverse dining options, and world-class facilities that embody the best of Byron Bay. We take pride in offering barefoot luxury, ensuring unforgettable moments for both guests and staff in our stunning coastal paradise.

This role will suit someone who is very organised, experienced and confident with setting up a bar for service and managing multiple dockets. This role could be working in our bar in our main restaurant Azure Bar and Grill or pool side at Breeze Cafe or Summer Salt.

Your role will require you to converse with our guests by explaining cocktail, wine and beverage options, assist with dietary requirements and up-sell where possible. Ensuring stock levels are maintained, your bar is kept clean and tidy, and orders are processed per service standards. You will be taking orders and running food and drinks during the winter months.

We are looking for motivated, experienced bartenders with an eye for detail and consistency in their drinks.

To be successful you will hold a current NSW RSA and NSW Food Handler Basic Training Certificate and be available to start ASAP. You will be a strong team player who works well with other colleagues on the floor during service and with our kitchen teams to ensure a smooth and efficient service.
