Job summary

Hyatt Hotel Canberra seeks a dynamic Food & Beverage Attendant with a flair for bartending to join our team. You will deliver outstanding service, craft cocktails, and create memorable dining experiences while building rapport with guests.

You will be responsible for engaging guests, following bar trends, and ensuring smooth opening/closing procedures in a fast-paced hotel setting.

Qualifications

• Current Food & Beverage experience in hotel environment or similar fast-paced setting.
• Valid and current RSA certificate required.
• Ability to make a positive first impression and connect with guests.
• Flexibility to work on a rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays.
• Mixologist/cocktail bar background; wine knowledge is highly advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding service in dining and bar experiences.
• Shake cocktails, recommend wine pairings, and engage guests with charisma.
• Deliver memorable guest experiences and build strong relationships.
• Maintain bar and dining area, ensuring cleanliness and proper presentation.

About the Role

We're looking for a dynamic and engaging Food & Beverage Attendant with a flair for bartending to join our team! As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for providing outstanding service, creating memorable dining and drinking experiences, and building strong relationships with guests. Whether you're shaking up cocktails, recommending a wine pairing, or connecting with guests with your natural charisma, you'll play an essential role in bringing our bar concepts to life.

Some of the responsibilities include:

• To be fully conversant with all services, offers, promotions and facilities offered by the hotel
• Check dishes and kitchenware for cleanliness and presentation
• Engage and connect with guests, making them feel welcomed with your outgoing personality and ease of conversation
• Following international and local Bar and Drink trends
• Closely follow and complete opening and closing procedures and check lists
• Serve alcohol responsibly and report any concerns to duty manager immediately

Qualifications

A successful candidate will have:

• Current Food & Beverage experience in hotel environment or similar fast-paced environment
• A valid and current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certificate
• The ability to create a positive first impression
• The flexibility to work on a rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays
• Mixologist / cocktail bar background
• Wine knowledge highly advantageous
