Job summary

Hyatt Hotel Canberra is seeking a dedicated Steward to maintain cleanliness and organisation in our kitchens. You will wash, sanitise, and store dishes, utensils, and equipment to Hyatt standards, ensuring a clean, safe work environment.

The role offers opportunities to contribute to a diverse team and develop within a hospitality-focused caree­r. You will be part of a property known for its heritage-inspired design and guest-centric service.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not required.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness.
• Physical stamina to stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain areas to Hyatt Hotel Canberra Standards, ensuring that all equipment and cleaning schedules are followed.
• Maintain operating equipment in good condition and ensure it is returned to its designated storage place.
• Count and update glassware and crockery for all outlets.
• Perform general cleaning duties in accordance with procedures for each work station.
• Cleaning walls in all kitchens, walls in all corridors and centenary kitchen (tables, shelves, sinks).
