Job summary

Hyatt Hotel Canberra is seeking a dynamic Food & Beverage Attendant with bar experience to join our team. You will deliver outstanding service, craft cocktails, and create memorable guest experiences in a fast-paced hotel setting.

You will engage guests, stay informed on promotions, and work a rotating roster including weekends and public holidays. RSA-certified candidates with passion for hospitality are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Current Food & Beverage experience in hotel or fast-paced env.
• RSA certificate (valid and current).
• Ability to create a positive first impression.
• Flexibility to work on rotating roster, weekends and public holidays.
• Mixologist / cocktail bar background.
• Wine knowledge highly advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Be fully conversant with all hotel services, offers and facilities.
• Check dishes and kitchenware for cleanliness and presentation.
• Engage with guests with outgoing personality and ease of conversation.
• Follow international and local Bar and Drink trends.
• Follow opening and closing procedures and checklists.
• Serve alcohol responsibly and report concerns to duty manager.

About the Role

We're looking for a dynamic and engaging Food & Beverage Attendant with a flair for bartending to join our team! As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for providing outstanding service, creating memorable dining and drinking experiences, and building strong relationships with guests. Whether you're shaking up cocktails, recommending a wine pairing, or connecting with guests with your natural charisma, you'll play an essential role in bringing our bar concepts to life.

Some of the responsibilities include:

• To be fully conversant with all services, offers, promotions and facilities offered by the hotel
• Check dishes and kitchenware for cleanliness and presentation
• Engage and connect with guests, making them feel welcomed with your outgoing personality and ease of conversation
• Following international and local Bar and Drink trends
• Closely follow and complete opening and closing procedures and check lists
• Serve alcohol responsibly and report any concerns to duty manager immediately

Qualifications

A successful candidate will have:

• Current Food & Beverage experience in hotel environment or similar fast-paced environment
• A valid and current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certificate
• The ability to create a positive first impression
• The flexibility to work on a rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays
• Mixologist / cocktail bar background
• Wine knowledge highly advantageous
