Job summary

Petit Crenn is scheduled to open in October 2026 in Melbourne, within the InterContinental Melbourne the Rialto. As Bar Manager, you will lead bar operations, coach a high-performing team and deliver exceptional guest experiences, championing premium beverages and guest engagement.

You will report to the Restaurant Manager, drive promotions, manage costs and ensure compliance with health and licensing regulations while developing the team’s capabilities.

Qualifications

• Valid Australian work visa required.
• 2–3 years leadership experience as Bar Manager.
• Extensive knowledge of Australian and European wines and spirits.
• Strong cocktail knowledge with trend awareness.
• Victorian Responsible Service of Alcohol Certification.
• Hotel Management and/or F&B qualifications preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day bar operations delivering exceptional guest experiences.
• Lead, coach and develop a high-performing bar team.
• Manage stock, inventory, ordering and cost control.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and licensing regulations.
• Utilize POS systems, handle transactions and training.
• Drive beverage promotions, events and seasonal menus.
• Monitor KPIs, revenue, labour costs and profitability.
• Roster planning and leave management.
• Maintain beverage quality and upsell opportunities.
