Job summary

dnata catering & retail is seeking a dedicated kitchen professional to join our inflight catering team in Australia. You will prepare hot and cold meals for multiple airlines in a high-volume kitchen, manage stock, and uphold strict HACCP and WHS standards.

The role requires a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent, a willingness to work a 38-hour week on a 7-day roster, and the ability to thrive under pressure in a busy kitchen. National Police Check is required.

Qualifications

• Certificate III Commercial Cookery or higher qualifications is preferred or equivalent level of experience.
• Passion & drive to deliver high quality food to our customers.
• Ability to work a 7-day rotating roster.
• Good written & verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Good organizational & time management skills.
• Motivated, hardworking & have a good attitude.
• Ability to work under pressure in a busy kitchen.
• Previous experience in a commercial kitchen environment preferred but not essential.
• National Police Check required for aviation services work.
• Availability to work 38 hours/week, full-time permanent position.

Responsibilities

• Preparing hot & cold meals for business & economy class passengers for various airlines.
• Stock control & minimizing food wastage.
• Cleaning & maintaining a hygienic work environment at all times.
• Strictly following menu specifications as well as food safety / HACCP, WHS & QSAI policies.
