Job summary

Royal Flying Doctor Service SA/NT in Darwin seeks a Technical Administration Officer – Engineering to support aviation engineering operations with high‑level admin, project coordination and compliance oversight.

You will work with Engineering leaders, pilots and external partners to manage training, records and documentation, while monitoring budgets and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated administrative experience and ability to develop/improve admin systems.
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic aviation environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication for reports, minutes and correspondence.
• Experience coordinating meetings, events and travel, with financial/records management exposure.
• Proactive problem solving and initiative to implement improvements and new tech solutions.
• Advanced computer skills across MS Office, email and calendars.

Responsibilities

• Provide high‑level admin and project support across Engineering, including strategic plans and KPIs.
• Monitor progress, coordinate meetings, prepare agendas/minutes, and follow up actions.
• Prepare presentations, briefing papers, reports and capital expenditure documentation.
• Coordinate Engineering training and development activities and monitor related expenditure.
• Support apprentice training plans with engineers, P&C and providers.
• Maintain Engineering staff records and compliance in Air Maestro; support LAAMP modules.
• Coordinate refresher training with providers and CASA where needed.
• Assist with audit responses and reflect improvements in manuals and systems.
• Track expenditure against budgets including travel, training and capital purchases.
• Review admin systems and implement process improvements and new tech solutions.
• Maintain Engineering Support Equipment register and related maintenance docs.
• Provide day-to-day admin support including mailbox, calendars, travel and events.
