Job summary

Avina seeks an experienced Behaviour Support Practitioner to join our Western Sydney team, based from the Penrith office. You will deliver Positive Behaviour Support across home, school, community and other environments with autonomy over your schedule and caseload.

You will conduct functional behaviour assessments and develop Behaviour Support Plans, collaborating with participants, families and other clinicians to achieve meaningful, sustainable outcomes.

Qualifications

• Must be an experienced Behaviour Support Practitioner approved by the NDIS Commission.
• Experience delivering Positive Behaviour Support within the NDIS.
• Able to conduct functional behaviour assessments and develop Behaviour Support Plans.
• Enjoys collaborating with other clinicians and teams.
• Hold a valid driver’s licence and have access to a vehicle for community work.
• Hold, or be willing to obtain, the NDIS Worker Screening and Working With Children checks.
• Have full Australian working rights.

Responsibilities

• Deliver evidence-informed, person-centred Positive Behaviour Support across home, school, community and other environments.
• Conduct functional behaviour assessments and develop Behaviour Support Plans in collaboration with participants and support networks.
• Work with other clinicians to achieve meaningful, sustainable outcomes.
• Manage your own schedule and caseload with clinical support available as needed.
• Engage in multidisciplinary collaboration and ongoing professional development.
