Job summary

Epiroc is seeking an Automation Performance Manager in Perth to optimise autonomous mining operations. You will assess, analyse, and enhance site performance by leading strategic initiatives, driving continuous improvement, and coordinating with operations and safety teams.

The role emphasizes data-driven decision making, KPI development, and leadership of a multidisciplinary team to deliver measurable improvements at scale within Western Australia’s mining sector.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering or related field; Master's preferred.
• Proven mining operations experience with focus on performance improvement.
• Strong analytical skills and proficiency with data analysis tools.
• Knowledge of mining equipment, technologies, and industry best practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with autonomous mining systems (AHS) and related technologies.
• Familiarity with continuous improvement frameworks and methodologies.
• Experience in large-scale open-pit mining operations.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety-aligned performance improvements and regulatory compliance.
• Analyse site operations to identify inefficiencies and bottlenecks; define KPIs.
• Evaluate and optimise mining processes, workflows and systems.
• Engage with mining operations, management and stakeholders to communicate results.
• Lead data-driven decision making and monitor performance metrics over time.
• Build long-term, sustainable relationships with customers and partners.
• Lead and develop a multidisciplinary team to deliver results.
