Job summary

Hexagon Autonomous Solutions is seeking a graduate/early-career engineer to support deployment, operation, and continuous improvement of autonomous haulage tech in a large mining setup. The role offers hands-on experience across multi-system software and hardware in a world-first project, with a fixed-term FIFO roster from Perth to Onslow, WA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in STEM including Mechatronics, Electrical, Technology, Engineering.
• Analytical and problem-solving abilities; interpret technical data.
• Able to work on a new technology project with test, validation, and verification stages.
• Ability to work in a highly collaborative team environment.
• Fly-in, fly-out roster availability and Australian working rights.

Responsibilities

• Support installation, commissioning, operation, and improvement of autonomous tech across fleets.
• Assist data analysis to improve system performance and reliability.
• Support commissioning and optimization of server and network infrastructure for autonomous ops.
• Implement and maintain security measures protecting systems from threats.
• Operate and monitor autonomous road trains through all haulage stages; loading to marshalling.
• Support route optimization to improve efficiency and reduce fuel use.
• Provide real-time monitoring, tracking, and operational support for autonomous haulage.
