Job summary

Bartons Motor Group is seeking qualified Automotive Technicians to join our Bayside service teams. You will maintain, diagnose and repair a diverse range of passenger vehicles, SUVs, commercial vehicles and new-energy vehicles across eight leading brands.

This role offers manufacturer training, ongoing technical development, and clear career progression within a family-owned group. You’ll work in a modern workshop with advanced diagnostic equipment and a supportive team.

Qualifications

• You will ideally have a Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology.
• Experience as an Automotive Technician / Mechanic is preferred.
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills are essential.
• Good mechanical and electrical knowledge.
• High attention to detail and quality workmanship.
• Professional, reliable and team-focused attitude.

Responsibilities

• Performing scheduled servicing and general mechanical repairs.
• Diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical faults.
• Carrying out manufacturer-recommended inspections and repairs.
• Using advanced diagnostic equipment and manufacturer systems.
• Maintaining high standards of workmanship and attention to detail.
• Completing repair orders accurately and efficiently.
• Working collaboratively with Service Advisors, Technicians and Service Management.
• Keeping up to date with the latest vehicle technology and repair procedures.
• Working safely and maintaining a clean and professional workshop.

About the Role

As an Automotive Technician at Bartons, you’ll be part of a professional Service team responsible for maintaining, diagnosing and repairing a diverse range of passenger vehicles, SUVs, commercial vehicles and new-energy vehicles.

About You

We’re looking for technicians who take pride in their work and want to be part of a professional, high-performing team.
