Job summary

Pickerings Auto Group in Townsville invites skilled automotive technicians to join our busy workshop. This role offers opportunities to advance technical knowledge across multiple brands with access to modern diagnostics and equipment.

You will work with a collaborative team, diagnosing faults in engines and electrics, while maintaining high standards of workmanship and safety. Training and career development are provided.

Qualifications

• Trade qualifications: Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent.
• Experience in light vehicles is desirable but not essential.
• Strong time management and organisational skills with attention to detail.
• Willingness to learn and take on challenges.
• Demonstrated workshop experience in detecting and diagnosing faults in engines and electrics (preferred).
• C Class Manual Drivers Licence.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of a busy workshop team with strong interpersonal skills.
• Be proactive in daily responsibilities and able to work unsupervised.
• Participate in ongoing training and skills development.

THE POSITIONS:

The positions would be suited to highly motivated and experienced team players who have previous experience working within a busy workshop. With strong interpersonal skills, you will each be proactive in your daily responsibilities and have the ability to work unsupervised. With leading edge technology, sophisticated equipment and highly trained technicians, you will have the opportunity to further develop your skills in a professional working environment.

To be successful within these roles you will possess the following skills and attributes:

• Relevant Trade qualifications; Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent
• Experience in light vehicles is desirable however, not essential
• Excellent time management/organisational skills and attention to detail
• A willingness to learn and an appetite for challenge;
• Demonstrated workshop experience in detecting and diagnosing faults in engines and electrics. (preferred, but not essential);
• C Class Manual Drivers Licence
