Kestrel invites applications for a permanent Coordinator Automation to lead automation and process control across surface and underground operations. You will oversee PLC/SCADA systems, drive improvements and integrate new digital technologies while ensuring safety and compliance.

Reporting to the Senior PCS Engineer, you will collaborate with Production, Maintenance and Technical Services to optimise performance and deliver innovation.

Qualificações

• Trade or tertiary qualification in Automation, Electrical, Mechatronics, Software, Computer Systems or related Engineering discipline.
• Experience with industrial automation and process control systems (PLC, SCADA, DCS).
• Strong troubleshooting and systems integration capability.
• Mining, heavy industry or complex operational environment experience preferred.
• Ability to lead and coordinate technical work and contractors.
• Strong communication with stakeholders and proactive safety mindset.
• Comfort with data, digital tools, and reporting systems; willing to work across surface and underground.

Responsabilidades

• Lead the maintenance, optimisation and continuous improvement of automation and process control across site.
• Provide technical oversight and troubleshooting for PLC, SCADA and automation infra.
• Coordinate design, testing and implementation of automation and digital projects.
• Ensure control systems are reliable, safe, compliant with requirements.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Production and Maintenance to integrate solutions.
• Support data acquisition, analysis and reporting to improve performance.
• Manage documentation, drawings, configurations and change control.
• Apply engineering governance, safety leadership and risk management.
• Contribute to longer-term automation strategy and roadmaps.
