Job summary

Rosebel Gold Mines N.V. is seeking an Automation Engineer to maintain and improve automation and control systems across the mine and processing plant.

You will troubleshoot PLC, SCADA, instrumentation, and electrical systems and provide technical support to automation, instrumentation, and electrical teams. Responsibilities include developing PLC logic, maintaining networks and servers, diagnosing faults, and driving continuous improvement while mentoring junior staff and ensuring safety

Qualifications

• Degree/HND in Control, Electrical, Electronic, Software Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience, or equivalent technician experience.
• Experience in gold mining or heavy industrial environments preferred.
• Strong knowledge of PLC, SCADA, instrumentation, and industrial control systems.
• Experience with Rockwell, Schneider/Modicon, AVEVA/Wonderware, ABB, or similar platforms is an advantage.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Willing to work across the mine, processing plant, and electrical facilities.
