Job summary

Kestrel Coal Midco is seeking an experienced Coordinator Automation to lead the automation and process control capability across surface and underground operations in Queensland. You will report to the Senior PCS Engineer and work with Production, Maintenance and Technical Services to optimise automation, PCS and digital systems.

You will provide subject matter expertise across control systems, lead improvement initiatives, and support safe integration of new technologies in a high‑hazard mining

Qualifications

Trade or tertiary qualification in Automation, Electrical, Mechatronics, Software or related Eng.
Experience with industrial automation and process control systems (PLC/SCADA/DCS).
Strong troubleshooting, diagnostics and systems integration capability.

Responsibilities

Lead maintenance, optimisation and continuous improvement of automation and process control systems across site.
Provide technical oversight and troubleshooting for PLC, SCADA and related automation infrastructure.
Coordinate design, testing and implementation of automation and digital technology projects.
