Batchfire Resources is seeking an Auto Electrician to join the Maintenance Department at Callide Mine. This is a 6-month contract with a residential posting in Biloela, Queensland, featuring a rotating day/night shift roster.

The role requires experience in routine maintenance and fault finding on heavy earthmoving equipment, with CAT, Hitachi and Komatsu experience desirable. A current Australian C Class Driver Licence is required, and you must have the right to work in Australia and arrange

Qualifications

• Experience in repairs to auto electrical systems on heavy earthmoving equipment (Caterpillar, Hitachi and Komatsu desirable).
• Automotive air conditioning experience and current licence.
• Australian C Class Driver Licence.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and fault finding on heavy earthmoving equipment.
• Work with the maintenance team and report to a Maintenance Supervisor on shift.
• Ensure safe work practices and lead by example on site.

Batchfire Resources is the owner of Callide Mine in Central Queensland, an open-cut coal operation located 120km southwest of Gladstone and 20km northeast of the thriving regional township of Biloela. The mine has operated since 1944 producing coal primarily for domestic power generation, alumina refining and export markets.

About the role

We are currently seeking an Auto Electrician to join our Maintenance Department at Callide Mine. This is a 6-month contract with the possibility to extend. Working a rotating day/night shift roster.

The position requires the willingness to work together as part of a team to accomplish the tasks at hand, whilst also trusted to work independently at times. Reporting to a Maintenance Supervisor on shift, your key result areas will include having self-pride in your ability to work safely and act as an example to fellow peers on site.

This role requires the successful candidate to have extensive experience in routine maintenance and fault finding on heavy earthmoving equipment. Personal attributes will include being accountable for your output and achievements, punctuality and always presenting fit for work.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

Experience in the repairs to auto electrical systems on Heavy Earthmoving Equipment(experience in Caterpillar, Hitachi and Komatsu desirable)

Automotive Air Conditioning experience and current licence

Australian C Class Driver License

You must also have the right to work and live in Australia to be considered for this role. The successful applicant isalso required to provide their own transport and accommodation.

Standard 11 Induction Training Certificate or willingness to obtain

Current Coal Board Medical
