Job summary

Autonomy & Asset Management Group in Bowen Basin is seeking an experienced High Voltage Electrician to join our mining operation. You will inspect, service and repair high-voltage systems on heavy mobile mining equipment, ensuring safety and quality across all tasks.

Key requirements include a Certificate III in Electrotechnology, Queensland Electrical Licence, HV Switching qualification, and a proven track record with CAT, Komatsu or Liebherr equipment.

Qualifications

• HV Electrician with heavy mobile mining equipment experience.
• Trade qualification and HV licensing required.
• Ability to fault-find and repair HV systems in mining equipment.
• Commitment to safety and quality workmanship.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair faults on high-voltage electrical systems
• Maintain and repair inverters, converters, traction motors, HV batteries and associated components
• Perform preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs on heavy mobile equipment
• Complete inspections and testing in accordance with OEM and site requirements
• Utilise diagnostic software and specialised testing equipment
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation
• Work safely in accordance with site procedures and statutory requirements

About the Role

Working within the Mobile Maintenance team, you will be responsible for the inspection, maintenance, fault finding, and repair of high-voltage systems on heavy mobile mining equipment while maintaining the highest safety and quality standards.

About You - To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Certificate III in Electrotechnology (or equivalent trade qualification)
• Current Queensland Electrical Licence
• Current HV Switching qualification
• Current CPR/LVR
• Standard 11
• Coal Board Medical (or willing to obtain)
• Current Australian Driver's Licence
• Proven experience as an HV Electrician on heavy mobile mining equipment
• Experience working on CAT, Komatsu and/or Liebherr equipment highly regarded
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills across HV electrical systems
• Commitment to safe work practices and quality workmanship
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
