Supporting Independent Living Co-operative (SILC) invites applications for Disability Support Workers at Emet House, Strathfield, to assist three young men in their 20s with Level 3 Autism and complex needs. You will support daily living, personal care and community activities in a caring home environment.

The role emphasises developing residents’ independence, respectful relationships, and adherence to Behaviour Support Plans.

Qualificações

• Minimum 2+ years’ experience supporting people with autism and complex behaviours of concern.
• Commitment to person-centred support and upholding the dignity of residents.
• Confidence working independently, strong communication skills and the ability to work cooperatively as part of a team.
• Commitment to developing residents’ independence and quality of life.
• Willingness to undertake ongoing training and receive feedback.

Responsabilidades

• Support residents with daily living, personal care and community access.
