Job summary

GLAS is seeking an experienced Australia Head of Business Development to lead the BD team in Australia, focusing on originating and winning new business across Loan Agency, Capital Markets, Restructuring and escrow services.

You will build a high-quality pipeline, manage senior relationships with funds, banks and sponsors, and collaborate with global teams to deliver consistent pitches and revenue growth.

Qualifications

• Significant business development experience in financial services.
• Strong understanding of syndicated loans and debt capital markets.
• Proven track record of originating opportunities and winning mandates in Australia.
• Established network across sponsors, lenders, advisers, and institutional investors.
• Experience leading and developing business development professionals.
• Forecasting and pipeline management with data-driven insights.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Australia BD team with clear market activity expectations.
• Set and execute the Australian BD strategy aligned with APAC/global priorities.
• Establish regular pipeline reviews, forecasting, and accountability against objectives.
• Coach team members to strengthen origination capability and market coverage.
• Foster a high-performance culture focused on growth and collaboration.
• Maintain accurate CRM data and provide reliable forecasting to leadership.
