Job summary

BDO Australia is seeking a Manager – Methodology within the Audit Professional Practice Department (APPD) to drive the development and enhancement of audit methodology, policies and tools. You will work with engagement teams and AAQ to ensure consistent and high-quality audits across the firm.

Qualifications

• Experience in external audits with independence and professional skepticism.
• Strong knowledge of auditing standards and assurance practices.
• CA qualification or equivalent is required and professional development is supported.

Responsibilities

• Support development and maintenance of quality frameworks and audit methodologies.
• Contribute to methodology projects and deliverables with ownership of workstreams.
• Monitor standards changes and advise on implications for audit methodologies.
• Create practical templates and guidance to promote consistency and compliance.
• Provide technical consultations on methodology matters to engagements teams.
• Identify audit capability gaps and quality risks with stakeholders.
