Job summary

BDO Australia is seeking a Manager – Methodology within the Audit Professional Practice Department (APPD). You will develop and implement audit methodology, policies and guidance, while supporting engagement teams with technical consultations and continuous improvement.

The role spans across various facets of audit quality and engagement delivery. You will collaborate with AAQ and service lines to identify gaps, develop resources, and promote consistency and excellence in audit engagements.

Qualifications

• Strong external audit background from a reputable professional services firm.
• Solid knowledge of International Standards on Auditing and Assurance.
• CA qualification or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and enhance audit methodology, policies and guidance.
• Support implementation of quality frameworks across engagements.
• Provide technical consultations on audit methodology matters.
• Identify audit capability gaps and quality risks with Learning & Development teams.
• Engage with service lines to drive quality and continuous improvement.
• Contribute to strategic initiatives to strengthen audit capabilities.
