Job summary

BDO is seeking a Manager – Methodology within the Audit Professional Practice Department in Australia. You will lead the development and ongoing enhancement of audit methodology, policies and related tools, while providing technical consultation to engagement teams.

The role combines deep audit methodology work with cross-functional collaboration across service lines and learning teams to strengthen quality and consistency across engagements.

Qualifications

• Strong external audit background from a reputable professional services firm.
• Excellent knowledge of International Standards on Auditing (ISA) and Assurance.
• CA qualification or equivalent required.
• Experience designing and delivering learning sessions and audit resources.
• Ability to manage multiple initiatives and influence stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain quality frameworks, methodologies, policies and tools supporting audit engagements.
• Lead and deliver methodology projects, managing workstreams and deliverables.
• Monitor changes to professional standards and regulatory requirements and assess their impact on methodologies.
• Develop practical templates and resources to promote consistency and compliance.
• Provide guidance on audit methodology matters and complex engagement issues.
• Collaborate with service lines and Learning & Development to identify gaps and risks.
• Support strategic initiatives to enhance audit capabilities and reputation.
