Job summary

NSW Athletics is the state governing body for athletics in New South Wales, supporting community participation, school sport, competition and performance pathways. The Sport Coordinator - Operations role contributes to end-to-end event delivery, planning and on-the-day execution across multiple competitions.

The role works with Sport Delivery and other functional areas to meet safety, integrity and customer service standards during peak periods, requiring flexibility and a hands-on approach.

Responsibilities

• Assist in development and execution of event management plans, risk assessments, schedules and run sheets.
• Plan and deliver competitions and events, including venue liaison, contractor coordination, infrastructure and overlay, equipment transport, catering, security and spectator services.
• Provide on-the-day operational support at events as rostered.
• Lead management of equipment, logistics and contractors, including transport, storage, signage and sign-off.
• Coordinate event medical requirements and liaise with medical contractors for first aid, physiotherapy services.
• Provide high standard customer service to athletes, coaches, officials, clubs, parents and stakeholders.
