Job summary

AECOM is seeking an Associate Director – Structural Engineer (NSQEP) to lead complex seismic projects across defence, research and nuclear sectors. Based in Adelaide with relocation considered, you will mentor engineers and drive high standards of technical excellence.

You will oversee design, analysis and delivery of safety-critical structures, ensuring regulatory compliance while coordinating with diversified teams and clients across Australia.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering; postgraduate qualifications in seismic or nuclear engineering are advantageous.
• 15+ years' experience in structural engineering, including significant seismic experience.
• Registered professional engineer and Chartered Engineer or equivalent accreditation.

Responsibilities

• Lead the structural and seismic design of complex buildings and safety-critical facilities in defence, research & nuclear sectors.
• Provide NSQEP oversight ensuring code compliance and safety requirements.
• Deliver advanced structural and seismic analysis including dynamic assessments and resilience studies.
• Manage multidisciplinary teams and coordinate with clients and stakeholders.
