Job summary

AECOM in Adelaide seeks an Associate Director – Structural Engineer (NSQEP) to provide technical leadership on defence, research and nuclear projects. You will lead the design, analysis and delivery of complex structures, with a focus on seismic design and safety-critical infrastructure.

The role offers relocation support and a flexible hybrid work model, with mentoring of engineers and collaboration across multidisciplinary teams to deliver compliant, high-quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master in Civil/Structural Engineering; postgraduate seismic or nuclear is advantageous.
• 15+ years in structural engineering with seismic experience.
• NSQEP experience or in regulated nuclear environments.
• Chartered Engineer or equivalent accreditation.

Responsibilities

• Lead structural and seismic design of complex buildings and safety-critical facilities.
• Provide technical leadership as NSQEP and ensure compliance with codes and safety requirements.
• Deliver advanced structural analysis including seismic qualification and resilience studies.
• Mentor engineers and support client relationships across projects.
