Job summary

AECOM in Sydney is seeking an experienced Associate Director – Structural Engineer to join our Building Structures team. This rare opportunity lets you step into an Associate Director role within our National Building Engineering group, contributing to landmark projects across ANZ while shaping our Sydney-based team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Civil Engineering (or equivalent) with 15+ years of consultancy experience delivering structural engineering projects.
• Chartership with Engineers Australia (CPEng) or other registrations.
• Strong knowledge of Australian codes, standards and regulations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, with ability to build client relationships.
• Proven competency in project and commercial management; leading complex projects.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor others to achieve high performance.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of complex structural and multi-disciplinary building projects across sectors in Australia.
• Oversee structural design and end-to-end delivery with technical quality and coordination.
• Develop and grow client relationships; support business development and pipeline.
• Provide technical leadership on major projects and solve design challenges.
• Lead and mentor the structural team and grow Sydney presence within the national Building Engineering group.
