Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Principal (or Associate Director) level Structural Engineer for their Adelaide Buildings & Places team. This position can be based in Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney, or Brisbane, and involves acting as a Senior technical specialist for advanced structural analysis across multiple sectors.

The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of structural engineering experience, with expertise in non-linear analysis, performance-based seismic design, and a strong understanding of Australian Standards and international design codes.

Qualifications

• 10+ years’ experience in structural engineering, focusing on advanced analysis and complex structural behaviour.
• Strong working knowledge of Australian Standards and international design codes.
• Experience in scripting and computational design is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Act as a Senior technical specialist in advanced structural analysis.
• Lead the application of advanced analytical techniques for complex projects.
• Provide independent technical assurance and review for design approaches.
