Job summary

Infrastructure NSW is seeking an Associate Director, Strategy, Planning and Innovation in Sydney for a temporary role up to September 2027. The role involves supporting policy reforms, investment decision-making and stakeholder engagement across energy, water and telecommunications sectors.

You will lead policy initiatives, manage relationships with government and industry stakeholders, and provide strategic advice to senior executives while guiding junior team members.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in policy analysis.
• Ability to evaluate complex economic, financial and social issues.
• Strong stakeholder relationship building across diverse groups.

Responsibilities

• Plan, manage and monitor infrastructure policy initiatives to meet milestones and outcomes.
• Develop and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders to inform policy outcomes.
• Identify risks and opportunities to inform decision-making and propose viable options.
• Communicate clearly with senior executives, providing timely written and verbal advice.
• Lead and mentor junior team members to deliver initiatives in consultation with senior executives.
