Job summary

NAB in Melbourne seeks an Associate Director to partner with Capital Markets Origination & Distribution and Global Institutional Banking teams, originating and executing opportunities across lending, securitisation, markets, transaction banking and deposits to deliver sophisticated whole-of-bank solutions for clients.

You will manage a portfolio of NBFI relationships, develop client strategies, coordinate cross-functional teams, and apply strong credit and regulatory awareness to drive returns

Responsibilities

• Manage and grow a portfolio of NBFI relationships with senior client, treasury and finance stakeholders.
• Develop client strategies and identify opportunities to deepen relationships and increase product penetration.
• Originate and execute lending and broader banking opportunities across securitisation, markets, transaction banking and deposits.
• Coordinate Corporate Finance, Markets, Transaction Banking, Credit, Operations and other specialists to deliver integrated client solutions.
• Contribute market and sector insights while maintaining portfolio discipline across returns, risk, pipeline, KYC/AML and client outcomes.

Own and grow relationships across a diverse portfolio of Non-Bank Financial Institution clients

In the role of Associate Director, you will work closely withour Capital Markets Origination & Distribution, and Global Institutional Banking teams, contributing to key business priorities and continuously improving how we serve our customers.

You’ll make an impact each day by:

• Manage and grow a portfolio of NBFI relationships, building trusted partnerships with senior client, treasury and finance stakeholders
• Develop client strategies and identify opportunities to deepen relationships and increase product penetration
• Originate and execute lending and broader banking opportunities across securitisation, markets, transaction banking and deposits
• Coordinate Corporate Finance, Markets, Transaction Banking, Credit, Operations and other specialists to deliver integrated client solutions
• Contribute market and sector insights while maintaining strong portfolio discipline across returns, risk, pipeline, KYC/AML and client outcomes

You’ll bring to this role:

• Solid relevant banking or financial services experience across areas such as financial institutions coverage, structured finance, securitisation, lending, markets or transaction banking
• Strong understanding of NBFI business models, funding structures, credit considerations and broader sector dynamics
• Demonstrated relationship management, origination and business development capability, including progressing complex client opportunities
• Strong commercial, financial and credit analysis capability, coupled with sound risk judgement and regulatory awareness
• Confident communicator and stakeholder manager who can influence senior stakeholders and coordinate cross-functional teams to deliver outcomes
