Job summary

NAB is seeking a Head of Capital Solutions to lead a senior, strategically important function enabling origination, distribution and portfolio optimisation.

You will partner across Corporate & Institutional Banking and the broader bank to connect customers with innovative third-party capital solutions. This role involves executive-level influence and leading a high-performing team to advance NAB's capital markets priorities.

Qualifications

• Significant banking and finance experience across relationship banking and financial products.
• Deep capability in debt capital markets, structuring and complex transaction execution with institutional investors.
• Strong understanding of regulatory standards, accounting treatment and capital calculations in banking.
• Solid knowledge of Corporate & Institutional origination, issuer and investor markets and relevant product offerings.
• Proven experience setting strategy and driving transformation with risk, regulatory and commercial judgement.
• Extensive leadership experience; ability to lead, motivate, develop teams and influence senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Capital Solutions team to deliver innovative financing and capital solutions for customers and the bank.
• Establish and optimise credit partnerships; oversee Credit Insurance and Trade Products to support objectives.
• Originating third-party capital solutions across high yield, mezzanine and other capital stack.
• Drive distribution and portfolio optimisation initiatives to support risk limits and RWA outcomes.
• Partner with senior NAB stakeholders and represent C&I in client, investor and industry forums.

You’ll make an impact each day by

• Leading the Capital Solutions team todeliver innovative financing and capital solutions for customers and the broader bank
• Establishing and optimising credit partnerships, while overseeing Credit Insurance and Trade Products to support customer and bank objectives
• Establishing and managing relationships with key institutional investorsOriginating third-party capital solutions across high yield, mezzanine and the broader capital stack to support customer financing outcomes
• Driving distribution and portfolio optimisation initiatives supporting risk limits, concentration management, GLA and RWA outcomes
• Partnering with senior stakeholders across NAB and represent C&I across relevant client, investor, industry and stakeholder forums

You’ll bring to this role

• Significant banking and finance experience, with breadth across relationship banking and financial products
• Deep capability across debt capital markets, structuring, and complex transaction execution, including deep experience working on transactions with institutional investors
• Deep knowledge of regulatory standards, accounting treatment, and capital calculations within in banking
• Strong understanding of Corporate & Institutional origination, issuer and investor markets and relevant product offerings
• Proven experience developing and executing strategy and transformation, coupled with strong risk, regulatory and commercial judgement
• Extensive leadership experience, with demonstrated capability to lead, motivate and develop teams and influence senior stakeholders across multiple functions
