Job summary

Smart Communications in Australia is seeking an Associate Consultant to join a fast-moving team. You'll start with training on the Conversation Cloud platform and work on diverse projects for clients across APAC.

You’ll travel up to 50%, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and grow into Consultant, Senior Consultant, or Principal Consultant as you develop skills and take on increasing responsibility.

Qualifications

• Experience with data and markup formats: XML, JSON.
• Exposure to Salesforce.com (APEX) and enterprise software (CCM/CRM).
• Awareness of AI-assisted development tools (Claude).

Responsibilities

• Implement Smart Communications solutions (SaaS/Cloud and Hybrid).
• Advise clients on best practices for implementation and configuration.
• Collaborate with team members to achieve project success.
• Support and maintain project plans from PMs/Principal Consultants.
• Report on progress, risks, and issues to stakeholders.
• Meet delivery schedules and budgets.
• Manage project change controls and contractual positions.
• Interface professionally with clients.

The responsibilities of the role include:

• Implementing the Smart Communications solutions (SaaS/Cloud and Hybrid option)
• Advise clients on best practices for the implementation and configuration of Smart Communications solutions.
• Work withappropriate teammembers to achieve successful project completion
• Supports andmaintainsproject plans provided by the Project Manager or Principal Consultants.
• Reports regularly, identifyingand diagnosing issues and needs, escalating potential risks as far as necessary to resolve for both Smart Communications and our customers.
• Meets delivery schedules and budgets.
• Manage project change controls, ensuring Smart Communications' contractual position.
• Interfaces with the client in a professional manner
• Willing to travel extensively up to 50% (Mainly inAPAC)

Key Performance Indicators for the role:

• Deliver against Company customer satisfaction targets.
• Deliver against Company Services Revenue and Profitability Targets.
• Deliver against delivery schedule and budget within project plans.
• Deliver against agreed personal technical development plan.

Whatwe'relooking for:

• Must be an Australian citizen

• At least theoretical knowledge of the software development lifecycle
• Good understanding of cloud architectures

• Good overview of web technologies, such as HTML5, XHTML and CSS
• Experience with data and markup formats: XML, XSL, XSD, XSL-FO and JSON

Some experience with code and databases, such as:

• Databases: SQL Server, DB2, Oracle
• Authentication modes and Identity Providers, including Active Directory, ADFS, OKTA, SAML and OpenID
• Exposure to any of the Smart Communications Conversation Cloud products (SmartCOMM,SmartIQ,SmartPATH,SmartHUB) is highly desirable
• Exposure to system architecture design - reading and creating class, sequence, data flow,interactionandcomponentdiagrams
• Some exposure to enterprise-level software (CCM, CRM, SCM)
• Salesforce.com (and APEX development)
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools (e.g.Claude)
• Print formats: PDF, PS, AFP
• Management, webanalyticsand workflow technologies
