Job summary

Plough & Ale Hotel in Calderwood NSW is part of Laundy Hotels, a leading hospitality group in NSW. We’re seeking an experienced Assistant Venue Manager to support the team, drive day-to-day operations and uphold exceptional hospitality every day.

Working with the General Manager, you will lead, develop the team and ensure smooth operations while maintaining our welcoming atmosphere. You’ll mentor and inspire the team, drive performance, and bring your hands-on leadership to shape the venue's

Qualifications

• Proven leadership that motivates and guides teams in high-volume venues.
• 2+ years' experience in a similar operation.
• Strong background in pub operations with gaming experience highly regarded.
• Excellent communication skills, written, verbal and interpersonal.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example and support the General Manager in delivering exceptional venue performance.
• Mentor, coach and develop a high-performing, engaged team.
• Assist with end-to-end venue management across food, beverage, gaming and accommodation.
• Ensure compliance with liquor, gaming, OH&S and licensing requirements.
• Drive revenue growth while maintaining strong cost control and profitability.
• Deliver outstanding guest experiences and uphold the venue's reputation within the community.
