Job summary

PPG invites applications for a full-time Assistant Store Manager at our Taubmans Somerton Trade Centre. You’ll lead a one-person store with comprehensive support from our leadership team and wider network, delivering exceptional service and sales performance from day one.

• Experience in retail, customer service, sales, trade or hardware.
• Hold a current driver's licence.
• Able to lift and handle products up to 32kg.

Responsibilities

• Deliver outstanding customer service and expert product advice
• Build relationships with trade and retail customers
• Tint and mix paint, colour match and prepare customer orders
• Arrange deliveries and complete local customer deliveries when required
• Maintain inventory, stock replenishment and store presentation
• Drive sales growth through customer engagement and solution selling
• Operate the point-of-sale system and process sales transactions
• Maintain a safe, clean and organised workplace
• Take ownership of the store's day-to-day performance and customer experience
• Support the achievement of sales, service and operational targets

Build on a successful store. Be supported from day one.

We're looking for a full-time Assistant Store Manager to join our Taubmans Somerton Trade Centre .

This is a unique opportunity to step into a well-established store and work alongside our current Assistant Store Manager before they depart to launch their own business. Their transition means you'll benefit from a comprehensive handover and onboarding experience, ensuring you're fully supported and set up for success from day one.

As a one-person store, you'll have the autonomy to manage the day-to-day operation while being backed by an experienced leadership team and wider Victorian store network.

Whether you're an experienced Sales Assistant ready for the next step or a current Assistant Store Manager looking for a new challenge, we'd love to hear from you.

The Setup

• Full-time permanent position
• Based at our Somerton Trade Centre
• Monday to Thursday: 6:30am - 2:30pm
• Friday: 6:30am - 3:00pm
• No weekend work
• One-person store with strong support across the Victorian network

You'll be the face of the Somerton Trade Centre, building customer relationships, supporting local trade customers and ensuring the store continues to deliver exceptional service every day.
