Job summary

King Living is opening a new Lakeside Retail Park showroom and seeks an Assistant Showroom Manager to partner with the Showroom Manager in delivering a premium customer experience and strong sales performance.

You will step up in the manager’s absence, coach a high-performing team, and help set the standards, culture and energy of the showroom from day one. Prior premium brand experience is valuable and rewards are aligned with performance.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a retail leadership or senior sales role within a premium or luxury environment.
• Customer-obsessed — you build trust, inspire confidence, and create experiences customers remember.
• Natural coach and team player — you make the people around you better.
• Commercially aware with targets, budgets and showroom performance.
• High attention to detail with strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Flexible and adaptable — available to work one weekend day as part of your regular roster.
• Experience in furniture, textiles or interior design is highly regarded.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable across retail systems.

Responsibilities

• Inspire strong sales performance and deliver warm, consultative customer experiences that build trust and drive confident purchasing decisions.
• Support the Showroom Manager to coach, motivate and develop a high-performing team from day one.
• Help maintain high operational, presentation and brand standards across the showroom.
• Lead the showroom confidently in the Showroom Manager’s absence, making decisions, supporting the team and maintaining performance.
